It’s been one of those days…

I got on the computer tonight to read my blog list and I see that I’m not the only one who had one of those days.  It was one of those days…a typical Monday kind of day.  I was stressed and grouchy.  In turn, I was stressing out my children and making them grouchy…a vicious cycle, I tell you.

So I ushered everyone outside because being outside makes me feel so much better especially when it looks like this:

DSCN3216 And to make it even better, someone’s cottonwood tree was blooming.  It’s like snow…in April…without the cold.  It is beautiful to see the little white cotton ball seeds floating around in the air as you play outdoors.  It really reminds me of a Hallmark card commercial or something.  I tried to capture it on film but I could only get it in this shot.

DSCN3222 Yes, it’s another plane.  Those air show planes usually leave on the Monday after the show to go home.  But do you see the little white specks?   Now imagine them all fluffy and dreamily floating around you.  Snow in April without the cold…

I love to watch my children playing in the backyard.  These two were conversing about something.  I’m sure they were some deep thoughts.  And big sister is helping little brother with his boots.  So sweet!

Baby Boy has discovered that he loves swinging…

DSCN3228 The littles built a tent out of my favorite quilt.  They were very busy in this little tent.

DSCN3227DSCN3231  My oldest two boys were with me while we were outside as they practiced for state Bible drill that was to happen tonight.  They would recite their memory work for a while and then run off and play while the other worked with me some more.  They have worked really hard and have hidden His word in their hearts.  Not only do they have the word of God in their hearts and minds now…

DSCN3230they both passed the State Level Drill.  I am very proud of them both.  :)
