A prayer request

Dear blog friends,

***UPDATED***
My mom does have a broken ankle. Actually, the doctor used the word "crushed". She is going into surgery at 4:30 central time. Thank you for praying for her.

I'm sending out a prayer request this morning for my mom. She fell at her workplace and they are sure she has broken her ankle. She is on her way to the hospital. Please lift her up this morning. Thank you very much.

  4. Thank you all for the prayers. My mom is out of surgery and hoping to go home tomorrow. It will be tough for her because she has to stay off of her ankle for six weeks. I am planning meals to take down the next day or two. Any ideas for things that freeze well?

  6. Thanks Amanda. Cooking for others is not really my strong point...even cooking for family. I'll take all the recipes or advice that you can send in that area, for sure!

  7. Adriane,
I will certainly keep your Mom in my prayers! I can relate to her so much, in Feb I fell down my stairs and almost completely severed my pinkie toe in the banister and broke 3 other toes. I had a long recovery. Started getting back on my feet recently and started exercising again and I sprained my other ankle. So frustrating! So now I'm trying to get that one better, crazy i know! LOL My thoughts are certainly with her...
    Blessings, Jill

  8. Oh Jill! That must have been tough! Thank you for your prayers. I am very concerned about her recovery. She all ready has some issues since she had polio as a child and it left behind some problems with her hips and feet. I pray that she is able to recover fully.

Again, thank you all for the prayers. My Mom is very special to me and I truly appreciate it.

  9. Adriane, I have a couple of recipes that freeze well and will try to email them to you some time today. I'll keep your mom in my prayers; thanks for the update. How is she doing - not just physically, but mentally? I was recovering from a car accident for a few weeks once and the toughest part was not being able to DO anything! Your poor mom! I'll pray that she's able to recover fully too.
